Hall of Fame Criteria

Saint Martin’s University Hall of Fame Criteria
 
The selection committee will be made up of the Athletic Director, Sports Information Director, a current coach and two Saint Martin’s alumni.
A.       Recognition Categories:
Hall of Fame: Athlete and Coach
                        Hall of Honor: Team and Outstanding Contributor
B.       Athlete Nominees: 
            1.         Participated at least two years in the sport.
            2.         Made significant impact and/or special recognition to the sport.
            3.         Five years must have elapsed from the nominee’s final season of participation.
            4.        All-Conference selection and/or All-America recognition.
            5.         Established a school record or records.
           
C.        Coach Nominees: 
            1.        Five years must have elapsed from the nominee’s last season of Saints coaching.
            2.         Made significant impact and/or special recognition to the sport or sports the                                   nominee coached.
            3.         Coach of the Year selection.
            4.         Established a school record or records.
D.        Team Nominees: 
            1.        Exceptional accomplishment/s at and above the conference level.
            2.        Five years must have elapsed before a team is eligible.
            3.         Made significant impact and/or brought special recognition to Saints Athletics.
            4.         Established a school record or records.
E.        Outstanding Contributor: 
            1.        A non-athlete nominee who, in some manner, made significant impact, special                                recognition, and/or an extraordinary contribution to the success or furthering of                             Saints Athletics.
            2.         A minimum of five years of service must have occurred before the nominee is                                eligible.
            3.         Demonstrated to the community a heart of service and dedication.
