Lacey, WA – A total of seven Saint Martin’s track and field student-athletes were named to the 2010 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Track and Field Academic all-star team.
Leading the way for the Saints was Krinda Carlson who posted a perfect 4.00 grade point average. She was one of two student-athletes in the conference to post a 4.0 along with Michelle Phillips of Northwest Nazarene. Carlson, who was selected for the third consecutive year, is a senior majoring in English.
Helen Camden and Annie Laweryson were both selected for the second year in a row. Camden is a junior sociology major with a 3.72 GPA while Laweryson is maintaining a 3.34 as a junior biology major.
Angela Anderson, a sophomore math major, finished with a 3.80 GPA and Kaitlynn Pecha finished with a 3.31 as a sophomore majoring in engineering.
The Saints had two representatives on the men’s side, Charles Lawson and Kevin Hudson. Lawson, a sophomore, holds a 3.51 grade point as a computer science and math major. Hudson is a criminal justice major in his sophomore year with a 3.21.
“This is a fitting testament to these student-athletes of their hard work, both in the classroom and in the competitive area, to be recognized,” said head coach Julie Sullivan.
