Lacey, WA – Saint Martin’s Travis Jones has been named as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference co-Player of the Week for his outstanding performance at the plate this past week.
Jones drove in 12 runs, including 11 against Central Washington as the Saints took three of four games from the Wildcats.
Jones had eight hits in 21 at bats, including two doubles and a home run. He picked up seven RBI in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader with a three-run homer, a bases clearing double and a groundout.
"Travis has been consistent for us all year," said ehad coach Ken Garland. "He has played through injury and has been our best clutch hitter. It's great to see him recognized for all of his efforts."
With his 12 RBI, Jones is now second in the conference in runs batted in with 42.
Jon Keller of Northwest Nazarene shares the award with Jones this week.
