Bellingham, WA – Saint Martin’s track and field team set two more school records at the Western Washington Twi-lite Meet at Civic Stadium on Friday night.
Charles Lawson raised the bar in the men’s pole vault bettering his own school record by over a foot with a vault of 12’ 3.25”.
On the runway Anthony Player launched the javelin to a new school record of 175’ 10”.
The Saints only win of the meet came from Samantha Hull who shared the win in the women’s pole vault jumping 9’ 4.25”.
Kaila Weiks made her mark in the women’s long jump posting a Great Northwest Athletic Conference qualifying mark and personal record with a leap of 16’ 8.50”.
Other personal records were Kyle Van Santen in the 3,000m. His time of 8:38.18 is number seven all time in the conference. Joseph Patti ran a mile pr of 4:19.05 while Karissa Owen ran 2:26.85 pr in the 800m and Eddy Brown ran an 11:43 sprint pr in the 100m.
The Saints will finish up their regular season next weekend in the SMU Saints Invitational on May 1. Marking the very first home meet hosted by SMU at the new track and field facility on campus.
