Men's Golf: Saints finish regular season at Stanislaus Invitational

Turlock, CA – Saint Martin’s wrapped the 2010 regular season with a 13th place finish at the 37th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational played at the Turlock Golf and Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Saints’ Justin Lanman was the highest Great Northwest Athletic Conference finisher ending up with a 54-hole score of 223, including a 71 in the second round. He finished 26th overall.
Zach Dietz finished with a 232 with Jack Whealdon one stroke behind at 233. Right behind them was Kevin Jech who carded a 234 followed by Sheldon Prante at 242.
The Saints shot the 5th best round two of the tournament posting a 295 team score. Both Lanman and Whealdon had a one-under par 71.
Cal State San Bernardino and host Cal State Stanislaus tied for the team title with scores of 871. San Bernardino’s Gene Webster Jr. won medalist honors by a landslide carding an 18-under par 198. He shot a nine-under 63 in the final round. His closest finisher, Ryan Indovina of Cal State Dominguez Hills, was 12 shots behind him at 210.
The men’s next tournament will be the GNAC Championship in Coeur d’Alene, ID on April 19-20.
