Ellensburg, WA – Central Washington outscored Saint Martin’s 9-1 in the overtime period to take the 78-70 victory in the Saints final game of the season Saturday night at Nicholson Pavilion.
The Saints led by as much as 14 in the first half but Central hit three consecutive treys to cut it to five, 38-33, going into the break. CWU took their first lead at the 15:13 mark on two made free throws by Noble’D Shelton.
Central led the rest of the way until Galen Squiers hit a three to tie it 69-69 with 13 seconds left and force the extra period. But the extra period was all CWU as the Saints only point came on a free throw by Squiers.
