Chico, CA – Saint Martin’s women’s golf posted a seventh place finish at the InterWest Chico State Invitational held at the Butte Creek Country Club.
Sonoma State took the team win. After round one they led the pack by eight strokes and finished day two with a combined 639, nine ahead of second place finisher Western Washington.
Karly Olsen had the Saints’ highest finish with a 171. Lauren Roberts and Vanessa Sinclair were right behind with scores of 172.
Alexi Coltom put up a 177 while Kim Vivian came in at 182.
Crystal Faith Superal, of Academy of Art University, earned medalist honors after shooting a two-round total of 149.
“We struggled over the last two days with our putting and our ability to read greens, they were extremely fast, making our scores were slightly higher than they have been,” said head coach Bob Grisham.
The Saints are back at it again next week when they take part in the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational.
