Kansas City, MO – Saint Martin’s junior forward Blake Poole has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II West Region All-District first-team.
Poole finished the season ranked third in the nation, first in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, in rebounds per game, averaging 12.2. He led the conference in scoring with 21 points per game, 19th nationally.  His field goal percentage of 60.7% was also tops in the GNAC and 23rd in the nation.
It was Poole’s second West Region nod as he was selected to the Daktronics West Region team earlier this month and was a GNAC first-team selection.
“This is a great and well deserved honor for Blake,” said head coach Keith Cooper. “I was extremely impressed with how he consistently performed at a high level every game even though he was the focus of every team’s preparation. With his work ethic I expect even better things are ahead for both him and the team.”
This marks the second year in a row that the Saints have had an NABC All-District honoree. Jake Linton was also recognized last season.
The NABC recognizes the nation’s best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, the 88 student-athletes, from eight districts, are now eligible for the State Farm Coaches’ Division II All-American team.
