Women's Basketball: Saints no match for Seawolves

Lacey, WA – Saint Martin’s was held to their lowest shooting percentage of the year as they fell to the University of Alaska Anchorage 83-49 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game on Saturday night at the Marcus Pavilion.
SMU shot at just a 28.6 percent (12-42) clip on the night while Anchorage shot 54.1 percent (33-61).
Tamar Gruwell and Nicci Miller combined for 37 points for the Seawolves, who notched their 20th win of the season and improved to 10-2 in the GNAC. UAA had three other players in double figures on the night.
Megan Busch came off the bench to lead the Saints with 12 points with Dara Zack adding 10.
Anchorage started the game with a three-pointer by Gruwell and held onto the lead the rest of the way, building up to a 47-22 advantage at halftime.
The Saints will play their final home game of the season next Thursday in a battle against Seattle Pacific.
