Seattle, WA – Saint Martin’s saw two school records fall at the UW Open Meet at the Dempsey Indoor Center on Sunday.
Charles Lawson set an indoor pole vault record with a jump of 10’ 2”, to claim his first school record. Kaila Weiks set a new standard in the women’s long jump with a school record 14’ 10.5”.
Spencer Hunt ran a thirteen second personal record in the men’s 3000m, 8:47.36, the fourth best time in school history. The men’s 3000m also produced pr’s from Nick Harvey, 9:16.60; Noah Caffrey, 9:23.61; and Scott Bauer, 9:26.70.
On the women’s side Ashley Llapitan set a PR of 11:24.30 in the women’s 3000m. Joseph Patti was the final PR of the day in the men’s 800m with a time of 1:59.70, the fasted 800m for SMU in the last three years.
Conference qualifiers will be announced on Tuesday, February 16, with the GNAC Meet set for February 20th in Nampa, ID.
