Cross Country: Saints honored for academic achievements

New Orleans, LA – Both the Saint Martin’s men’s and women’s cross country teams have been named to the NCAA Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Cross Country All-Academic team.
The women are maintaining a 3.220 cumulative grade point average while the men have an overall team GPA of 3.130.
Making up the women’s team was Ninalynn Benitez, Helen Camden, Krinda Carlson, Annie Laweryson, Joscelyn Minton, Brianna Schmid and Kaitlynn Pecha. Contributing for the men was Clinton Barr Noah Caffrey, Nick Harvey, Spencer Hunt, Josiah Price, John Riak, Jacob Suazo, and Kyle Van Santen.
“It is a privilege, and I am very proud, to be the head coach of such focused and driven student-athletes,” said head coach Julie Sullivan. “For the men's and women's cross country team to have succeeded so well in both the classroom and out in the field, and to be recognized for those achievements is a great honor for each and every one of them. This award also highlights the faculty and the school and all we strive for.”
