Each of the first-team all-region players will now be listed n the Daktronics Division II Men’s Soccer All-American ballot.
“Xan’s efforts were a big part of our first conference championship,” said head coach Rob Walker. “He scored goals in our conference games that contributed to our first ever winning record. His tireless work leading our front line, being an effective target and his development as a player that could defend when it counted really made the difference for us.”
Webb, who finished second in the GNAC in points (28), goals (11), and shots (79), was also a first-team all-conference selection. She led SMU in all three categories along with assists (6) and shots on goal (50).
“Jill had a great year for us scoring and providing timely assists throughout the season,” said Walker. “She scored goals at regular intervals throughout the season and was really effective for us down the stretch as we made a bid to finish in the top three of our conference. Jill’s goals in these final games gave us great momentum and were a big lift to the team’s success.”
