Ellensburg, WA – Saint Martin’s wrapped up the season with a road game at Central Washington, falling to the Wildcats in three, 18-25, 20-25, 13-25, Saturday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match at the Nicholson Pavilion.
Game one stayed close most of the way but Central used a couple of runs late in the set to pull ahead. They would score the final five points to put the game away.
The Wildcats opened up a solid lead in the second set but the Saints battled back to keep themselves in the game, but they just couldn’t overcome the deficit.
Central controlled the third set from the start. They established a sizeable lead early and never looked back.
Kirstyn Druzianich led the Saints with eight kills and added three blocks. Malia Ibarra had 11 digs while Brianna Bautista picked up 10. Cymbree Decosta notched 24 assists in the match.
The Saints finish the season with a record of 3-23 overall and 0-16 in the conference.
