Spokane, WA – Saint Martin’s had five women and two men named to the 2009 Great Northwest Athletic Conference cross country all-academic team.
Krinda Carlson was one of just two athletes in the conference to maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Carlson, who was one of 12 selected for the third time, is a senior English major.
Helen Camden, a senior, holds a 3.69 GPA as a sociology major. Kaitlynn Pecha, currently undecided on her major, is a sophomore with a 3.41 grade point.
Joscelyn Minton has a 3.31 grade point as a sophomore business major while Annie Laweryson is a junior biology major maintaining a 3.27 GPA.
Representing the men were Jacob Suazo and Nick Harvey. Suazo is a sophomore with a 3.63 grade point who is majoring in biology. Harvey, a senior, is an engineering major with a 3.25 grade point average.
To be eligible for the GNAC academic team, student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 and be in at least their second year of competition at their university.
